It's a dirt bike race through the woods, normally the lap is 6-10 miles and the race distance is 4-7 laps depending on your class.

In the Middle 60s-70s[and earlier] and before racing thats what dirt bikes were called back then.....I know weird right!!

Back in the mid '70s and earlier, before motocross, dirt bikes were called scramblers.
Just thought I'd throw that in for you youngsters LOL
