i'm trying to find a marrige article that was for my grandma. The picture that came with it was pretty cool and i want to draw it. I seen the news paper clipping she had but the pic was kind of distorted.

The news paper i'm pretty sure it is, is The Democrat and Chronicle, or The Times Union.

Not online for sure. i have done my own search for articles going back to 1978, and no dice.

But go to the town/city that the newspaper was from/is from and go to the local library. They will usually have some originals or newspapers on microfilm!! Its really neat!

Good Luck!

Try the local public library. Most of them have been archiving the newspapers on microfiche for many years and may have the articles you seek on file.

You will need the exact date of the article, or narrowed down to a pretty small range of dates.

Most archival libraries have microfilm of newspapers that you can search for free. Local newspapers where you live are frequently a part of historical libraries colections. You did not state the newspaper you wanted but there are even some archives online that you can search for free.
