1) The Patriots portrayed the Boston Massacre (BM) as an unjustified act of repression and cruelty by British soldiers. The BM could just as easy been portrayed as a riot that threaten the lives and property of the general public. While the patriots portrayed it as an orderly gathering to express discontent, people in the crowd were pelting the British soldiers with snowballs and rocks. By ignoring any potential wrongdoing on the part of the colonists, the Patriots made the British soldiers and governers seem cruel and uncaring about the lives of the colonists.

2) Samuel and John Adams worked with Committees of Correspondence to exchange views, discuss tactics, share information, and marshal support for independence. They wrote newsparer articles and made speeches to inflame the general public. They organized and participated in acts of civil disobedience to undermine British rule.
