i've tried running it in opengel. and i can play for awhile then it just freezes, then when i hit control shift escape i am unable to close it. I have tried runing it with out the system reboot protection checked in system properties and it will not give and error message.

This seems like it might be an outdated driver problem.
Download the latest driver from the company's website that you purchased your video card from.
Since you did not provide your video card, I cannot help you with determining what the website is.
