what do i tell my friends when they say they want to sleep with there boyfriends we are in 7th grade and most of them have not started there periods. they say they want to do it now so they know they can't get pregnant i am scared that in some way they might. what should i do and what should i say. i think we are way to young to do any thing like that. telling them not to would be a good idea to me but what if they completly hate me. the guy i like agrees with me and so do all my guy friends. they say ( even for guys) that even they aren't ready.

Listen... having sex before one is both mature enough and financially capable of handling the consequences is just plain stupid. Sex is not a play thing. It is more like a loaded gun.
Unprotected sex is sheer lunacy... not just because of pregnancy risk, but all of the possible diseases out there too... do you think it is worth the risk if you wind up with a disease that will cause you to die, or render you sterile?
Giving up one's virginity to some hairless boy is downright stupid... they live for taking risks. Most boys are not emotionally mature enough to handle any of this, much less think ahead or deal with any repercussions or responsibilities. If the average full-grown man is emotionally a teenager, then imagine how immature a 13 year old boy is.
Middle school is waaayyy too young to even consider having sex. It is intellectual suicide. It is tossing away the last care-free years of your life on a bet. This is not normal. Teenagers having abortions is not normal OR common. Children having children is insane.
Enjoy being young. Revel in your youth! Once your youth is gone it will not ever be back, so don't be in a hurry to give it up!
Now... as far as your own situation... just stand calm and resolute in your own integrity. Speak your truth and don't worry about some idiot craze. Do you really care about "being popular" if you are only popular with idiots? If all the jerks and twinkies and time-wasters in the world left me alone, I would truly be happy!

It is possible to get pregnant even if you have not started your period!! Especially if these girls are right about to start. A friend of mine lost her virginity and got pregnant that ONE time. Go figure. These girls should not be interested in having sex in the 7th grade. Maybe they are talking about wanting to do it to seem "cool" or to show everyone that they're not "afraid". But the joke will be on them if someone gets pregnant. They need to know that a guy will like them without having to have sex. Plus, once they do have sex what if everyone at school starts calling them "sluts" or something. Especially if the other boys aren't into sex yet.

First of all they can get pregnenant, thats not even the biggest concern nor is getting called sluts at school one. There are plenty of STD`s they can catch even if they use protection. Also if they have sex, until the age of sixteen the brain isnt fully developed so if you have sex before around the age of 16 it cant mess with your head. They also have to tell there doctor if there having sex. It seems they are very naive take sex ed.

You have to tell ur friends not to have sex yet...7TH GRADE??? OH GOD!!!! they are still very young to experience sex but if you advice them and they won't listen,,it's up to them,, they will be sorry..u really have to convince them..Good luck!!!

You sound very sensible, you are correct , they are too young. It is nice of you to be concerned about your friends but you can't be responsible for their actions.
Have you discussed this with your parents?
