Put a rubberband on your wrist and snap it when you feel too emotional. It's good to get angry, but sometimes it's not appropriate to cry.

Being able to express emotion is better done in a less viloent way, so if crying is the best way for you then so be it.

If you feel u can express your self verbaly without getting physical then would u not acheive more than crying? The next time you get angry and feel tearfull think about how u could actualy feel better by getting something off your chest.

Why are u getting angry? Is it the one person thats making you angry? maybe they like to see you cry! Theirs alot more to this question and probably more men that cry than you think.

If you want to get a bit tougher then its more than likely gonna happen if you practice self controll. Take a bigger stance get your point accross and feel the benefit of a raised head! Aftrer all, you wouldnt be in the argument if you didnt beleive you was in the right... So let them know why!

The fact that you cry when you are angry is a release valve from your body telling you the stress is too great. Listen to it!

And don't listen to anyone telling you that you have to "toughen up" emotionally and NOT cry. I heard my Dad tell me my entire growing up to "quit pi**ing my eyes out" whenever I'd get upset. I'm just a sensitive person and I cry easily and he couldn't handle it. It is just the emotional makeup some of us have. So give yourself a break!

you don't need to toughen up. you just need to come up with some creative ways to manage your emotions. i also cry when i get really angry sometimes, because there are some situations we can't control (ex: stupid/unfair boss, stupid/unfair professor, etc.). next time you are really angry and need to maintain a professional, rational appearance try to get out of the moment mentally. i do this by forcing myself to think of something unrelated to the issue. this usually breaks the tension and i can better control my emotions. once i leave the meeting/discussion i excuse myself to the bathroom if i still need to cry out the anger. don't try to repress the crying more than momentarily. otherwise those feelings will express themselves in other, less productive ways.

science has shown that crying releases chemicals that make us feel better. so, don't try to avoid it, just try to control it when necessary.

Don't push the need to toughen up. The fact is you will toughen up naturally with age. Also, there is nothing wrong with crying with anger.

Believe me, crying is a good thing.

This releases built up tension, pent up aggression and alot of emotion...it is very healthy to cry...

Myself for example....I cannot even force myself to cry......probably not even in the most emotional of situation I would probably have to force myself to cry.....on the extremely rare occasions I did cry you feel more relaxed afterwards...

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT bottle up emotion as it manifests itself in other ways....

you don't want to end up like me, end result I hardly feel emotion at all, good or bad.........it doesn't mean I'm a bad person or any psychotic reason, it just means I'm not exactly the most emotional guy you could ever meet...

don't change, be yourself and even if you do cry it doesnt make you emotionally weak....

To me your crying when angry is your VENT. Just think how mad you would get if you didn't cry. Some people cry, even shake when they get angry. Everyone has their own thing. I'm not sure there is too many things you can do to change your emotions. Hopefully you'll get some great answers to help you out. Good luck to you!

Crying is an emotional release. It is healthy if you don't then reabsorb the anger and brood over it.

Being emotional is a sign that the liver is unbalanced. You should be taking Chinese herbs to bring it into balance. You'll find that you won't be so emotional when you are upset.

It's just the way you react, don't reject it. When you get angry you probably repress it and that makes you cry. If you feel and express your anger without holding it back you'll probably not cry. Anyway, don't feel embarrassed it doesn't mean you're not tough. I can't cry easily not even at funerals and that doesn't make me less soft. ;)

Okay first learn to let some of it out, and gradually start to cry less and when you think you're gonna cry just punch a pillow and pretend it's the person you're mad at. And it's all normal
