I'm in East TN. My bf and I are wanting to get away for a fri-sun stay in November. Gatlinburg area is OUT--he used to live there. I can't think of ANYTHING else around here. I am BEGGING for ideas. We are on a budget and prefer not to drive more than 3-4 hours from Knoxville. Someone anyone? I'm begging! Thanks!

I know the 3-4 hours limits our options--hence my question. There's no point in driving further for a 3 day weekend.

How about getting Married at Dollywood or Chattanooga. What about Graceland???

Does this include the Maggie Valley area also? Honestly if you're only willing to drive 3-4 hours, you won't find anything romantic except the Gatlinburg area. Maybe Asheville. Chattanooga really isn't romantic. My husband and I stayed in Ashville one weekend. Very romantic. Lots of history and beautiful downtown. Also try Bat Cave near Asheville. That's where Chimney Rock is. Nice small little mountain town snuggled between all the mountains.

Do a search for close, but not too close Bed and Breakfast locations. They are so romantic! They cater to you and are very personal and homestyle-ish. Most have gardens you can sit in and bikes you can use during your stay to tour the city. Just look into it and see your options. Choose the best one that fits your needs and have fun!
