i was just wondering is their a difference between something identifying a noun and something describing it. for example in these 2 sentences:
1)Aaron, the boy next door, has a room full of comic books.
2)Aaron, born in the UK, has a room full of comic books.
sentence one seems to me to be more identifying the noun where as sentence 2 gives you more information. while both of these are unnescessary to know (non -essential) it seems to me there is a difference. just to me, it seems sentence is more unitive than sentence 2.

I agree with what you said. Sentence 1 is identifying Aaron as the boy next door, while Sentence 2 describes Aaron (as born in the UK).

Identify is to recognice something and be able to say what it is, while describing is just explaining something.

You were very right, though. Give yourself a pat on the back! Well, I wouldn't be able to pat myself on the back (can't reach that far) so just be happy. Wooo, too much ice cream! =D
