The fraction that is half of 1/2 is 1/4. And half of that is 1/8.
1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4
1/2 * 1/4 = 1/8

Boy, I'm sure glad I didn't have parents that said "I'm horrible at math"! I would hate to have grown up in a household where the attitude was "It's OK if you suck at this for the rest of your life; I haven't made any effort of improvement, so you don't necessarily have to either."
Half of 1/2 is 1/4. Half of that is 1/8. There's your answer. I take it you don't do much baking?
