Who here thinks that MTV has sold out?
All these shows like Sweet 16 and the Hills...
WHERE'S THE F U C K I N G MUSIC?!?!?!
I've seen more music videos this year on youtube than on MTV. *shakes head* And it's a shame.

You're right. I remember when MTV was about the music. Yo MTV Raps and Headbanger's ball. TRL was alright but I preferred VH1's top 20 count down cuz they would actually play the whole video rather than the little bit that TRL did. Not to mention all of those little girls screaming out: "OMG I LOVE THE BACKSTREET BOYS AND THE SONG IS MY FAVORITE AND I WANNA SHOUT OUT TO MY BFF BACK IN WASHAKIE, WYOMING AND ALL OF MY FRIENDS, YOU GUYS ROCK; GO TROJANS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!"
*snorts amusingly*
And all of these teeny bopper shows like The Hills and Next. But the one that did it for me was Tila Tequila.

OMFG!!!! MTV, WTF????????????????????????????????????
*sighs* And the VMAs were something to look forward to. To see artists perform songs on stage. This year's VMAs were a joke. Performing bits and pieces of songs in crowded hotel room? Where the f**k are the performances? And the whole thing was confusing as f**k. Call me old fashioned but I want to see them perform on stage.
I'd advise MTV to go back to their original VMA and MTV layout.
If it aint broke...don't fix it.

I agree! MTV should change it's name to "RTV" since all they show most of the time are bad reality shows-"The Hills" and bad dating shows as well as reality shows from other networks-"Top Model" which have NOTHING to do with music. It has gone downhill which is why I watch "FUSE" or "VH1 Classic" which still show music videos most of the day. MTV and MTV2 is also bad. The only time MTV plays music videos is early in the morning before 9 am and the rest of the day it is reality junk. Bad shows like Tila Tequila-who is she? Why do they have her in a dating show? MTV sucks!

I do watch the Hills. They only show crap reality shows, luckily when I grew up, it was videos. Then it turned to all rap. MTV beach party & then The Real World & down from there. Tila Tequila..... show some freakin videos instead. A mixture not just top 20 or rap. Everybody likes different stuff.

They have totally sold out. When they realized how popular there Reality Shows were gitting, they should have begun a new channel and kept MTV for what it should have been Music Television Videos. So everybody has a chance to decide what to watch.

I am 29 yrs old and used to watch mtv when I was 15 for the kisk *** music videos, especially head bangers ball. They was cool when they had Beavis and Butthead, The Max, Aeon Flux, the Head and other animations at night. Then they got into the real world and other sjows they just went too far with it and now don't even show music videos. You can't even find music videos on vh1 or bet anymore, or not any I would want to see. Man I feel old lol

I completely agree with you, toots! I think the shows on MTV these days are pathetic. I refuse to watch shows about rich, superficial, snobby, teenagers. I miss the videos and the VJ's that hosted MTV, like Martha Quinn.

People will have to tune out before they stop showing those shows such as Sweet 16.. and good grief all those date shows....I haven't seen a good video on there for years. I'm not sure how they are able to give out best video awards and such. Yup.. Sell Out!

mtv sucks last time i watch mtv my senior year back 1999. it start out with bevis and buthead. the won't show videos the suck . the need play esham the unholy( greatest rapper of all time), zug i zland, more underground artist, more rock more rnb, more rap and more britpop

They have sold out, they can make more money with the shows so thats why they are going that route. They should have to change the name of the channel to rich teens network.

yea i totally agree!! tila tequilla show was my last straw im protestin that station and not watchin it anymore till they start playin some dam music!!
