If you are going to care for a ladybug in a container you will need to supply it with aphids quite frequently. As the leaves wilt the aphids will leave. If you are doing this over winter you must be careful to keep the humidity down in the container since the adult ladybug can be attacked by fungus. Ladybugs will hibernate at about 32 degrees.

Ladybugs eat aphids. You'll need to find leaves that have aphids on them. I believe they get enough water just by eating the bugs, but you an add a moist sponge they can lick off the moisture from.
