Especially if you chose a major that comes a dime a dozen, such as: psychology, neuroscience, biology, or chemistry? I've heard that the name of your school will get you your first job, but then it will all be based on experience, is this true? I go to cu-boulder which is ranked around 76 by us news world rankings, should I try to transfer to a school that's at least in the top 20?

You go to a school with a recognizable name, that is very good itself. As long as you do very well, it shouldn't make a major difference in the long well. Especially if you do better at your school then you would at a top 20.

If you went to a school most people have never heard of, it might be a different story, but you go to a school with an established reputation. You should be fine.

You could easily get a job in Colorado with a degree from CU Boulder. If you want a job in a bigger city you should transfer to a top 20 school.

Unless it one of the very top schools, it doesn't matter. And, after the first few years, it really doesn't matter.
