It depends on the dirt. Garden soil is lighter, sand/clay is heavier.

Most probably the bucket of water, as the average density and specific weight of dirt is in general much lower than that of the water.

Water weighs about a pint a pound, or 8 pounds gallon.

The dirt can vary with they type of stone, humus, etc

i m nt sure of my ans bt i gess that a bucket of dirt is heaver than water bcoz dirt means many things heavy stones,larger pebbles and anything cn b there in d dirl!!!!!!!!!!
