I am a Vikings fan and throughly enjoyed watching Peterson have his way with the "mighty" Bears defense, but would say that it is far too early to compare Peterson to LT. We have seen AP for only six games. Now that teams know he is a legitimate threat, can they stop him? If he keeps tearing defenses apart like he did yesterday for the next couple seasons, then let's start the comparisons. Until then, AP is another rookie who has had just a few great games, nothing more.

LaDainian Tomlinson, palms down. Peterson and Tomlinson have an age hollow, yet Tomlinson is the excellent equipment in a working decrease back. He can run, capture (something Peterson has problems with) and throw. He additionally tackles and gives you you no longer undemanding hits, something Peterson does properly. Tomlinson jogs my memory a lot of Walter Payton. If Peterson does not substitute his working form quickly, he will see his profession be greater like Gayle Sayers than Walter Payton.

i believe adrian peterson could turn out into an outstanding back. it is too early to tell but he is stronger than L.T. and just as fast. it seems he has good vision so this is why they were comparing. also L.T. played for the TCU horned frogs and ran for that many yards if it was AD i would have to say 550 yards. he didnt have that record because he went to a "bigger" school. Im not dissin L.T. i love the guy but peterson is a specimen.

Personally,I don't like the fact Monday Night Football is on ESPN. I won't watch it there. I hear the broadcasters, led by Tony "Corn-holer" leave a lot to be desired.
That being said, I'd say YOU are a "weenie sucker" for asking such a lame-as*ed question. So "weenie boy", what do you prefer, "Oscar Meyer", or "Ball Park Franks?"

i think that peterson had a great game on sunday. i think that he is having a great rookie season. i tihink he has a bright future in the nfl. i also think that it is too soon to compare him to anyone. he isn't LT yet and he sure as hell isn't gale sayers as some of the espn analysts insinuated on nfl primetime this evening. the only comparison i could feasably see is saying that he put up a ladanianesque stat line sunday. other than that i don't think you can compare him to the single season touchdown record holder and the number 10 touchdown rusher in history. if he can put together another 96 games like his first 6 then maybe we can talk. for this season i think he should work on staying healthy and winning the starting position on his own team outright.(although i think he might have done that finally last weekend)

why not compare them....they are both from texas, adrian peterson stepped right out of college and is one of the best if not the best rb's in the league in stats right now, where he is pretty much the only weapon....L.T. is one of the best running backs i have ever seen and in years to come prolly will break the record, BUT adrian peterson could do the same thing...right now as of this moment, Adrian Peterson has locked rookie of the year and is a force in the NFL

So ESPN can start talking about how big of a disappointment Peterson is when he suffers another season ending injury.

They just love finding stuff to talk about. I think A.Peterson will have a great career and win rookie of the year. Maybe they are going a little overboard cuz he has to prove himself but, he is something special.
That is not as bad as saying my boy Trent Edwards looking like Tom Brady on MNF last week!

AP is SO different than LT. Ridiculous. They're also comparing AP to Barry Sanders. If anything, AP is like a faster Deuce McAllister. If you're going to compare him to someone, please compare him to someone with similar skills and running style.
The rookie RB with the skill set closest to LT's is Marshawn Lynch. Marshawn obviously isn't as good, but they have similar running styles, good receiving ability, and INCREDIBLE stiff arms.

Are you watching SportsCenter? They never like to acknowledge AD's acheivments. They already crowned a king in Bush, so they don't like AD challenging his throne. They tried to downplay his performance, oh well, that's alright. There's gonna be more to come.
