Where are all the Rangers fans that said they would be awesome this year? They should have learned from the Yankees they cant buy a championship. They took Drury from Buffalo and everyone said Buffalo would suck but they are leading the league in Goals Per Game and have a better record then the Blue Shirts!
Go Sabres! Drury, Briere are just an afterthought!

I'd just figure i'd get it out now that I am a true fan and not wait till mid season so you ppl start labeling us as bandwagon fans again! By the way Bob 10th place after 4 games played when most other teams played 6 or 7 already??? Now we have 5 games and are back in the midst of things!

i have a feeling its the same old rangers. how many years have they gone through the same thing? and not even a sniff at the stanley cup. every year its the same thing...superstars! superstars! and then they don't know how to play together. i mean, what franchise gives bobby holik 8 mil a year???! scott gomez could end up the same way. its called team chemistry, people, and the rags will never have team chemistry with a bunch of primmadonna superstars.

Wow. The season is only 5 games in. They probably still will be good, perhaps even "awesome". Also, seems to me the Yankees have bought a few championships already.
Briere is just an afterthought? To date, he has probably been the best FA acquisition with 7 points in 4 games. Once again it is early. You are really setting yourself up to eat crow. Last I looked, Buffalo was in the basement in the Northeast.
Furthermore, this isn't the NYR of old just grabbing the highest priced guys, Gomez and Drury are character players. As is Briere, which is why he and Drury were your captains last year. BTW, how did Buffalo start out last year, 10-0 or something? Also, you can expect Buffalo to be one of the worst defensive teams. Again, wow, alot of talk from a fan who's team is in 10th. After 82 games I expect the NYR will have a better record than Buffalo, I am not positive about it though because Buffalo is still a good team offensively but to discount your player losses and the Rangers gains after 5 games is, well.....stupidity.

...Dude, it's still October---isn't it kind of early to be saying anyone blows or is leading the league in anything?
And where were all the Buffalo fans at the very start of the season, before they started winning any games? I guess they had to make sure they weren't going to be a complete mess without Drury and Briere? I swear, I've only noticed more than a couple random Sabres fans in the hockey section when the Sabres are on a winning streak. Yeesh. (As always, there are exceptions to the rules; like Catherine Earnshaw, for example.)
By the way, the Rangers didn't "take" Drury---he left, for a sum of money. It's called free agency. :)

Very true the Rangers are not the best coached team unlike the Sabres. Also after a year of playing as/with the best team anyone will get better and play with the team more. Something the Rangers don't have.

There are plenty of Rangers fans here, including me...its very early in the season, the team needs some time to gel...they got some new players and they need some time. Unlike Ottawa who had all its stars for a long time already, and already have chemistry, the Rangers just got some new players who need some time to get the chemistry going.

I knew this was going to happen. Nylander for Gomez was the dumbest thing they could have possibly done. They should have resigned Nylander, signed Drury, gotten a long term contract for Lundqvist, and strengthened their blue-line. now they have a team that is worse than what they had last year AND incredibly high expectations. Personally i don't envy them.

The Rangers are extremely partaking in really properly. It took my purple warmth Sabres obtainable them their first loss on their sixth interest. The Islanders on the diverse hand, nonetheless they did signal a pair veterans, are a youthful crew that keeps to be some years removed from doing good issues interior the NHL.

It's funny how much smack comes from the hometown of the Bills. Did the Love Canal leak into the drinking water?
Two weeks into the season is hardly the basis for declaring a trend. How about you save your smack for after New Years?

The rangers need messier back to smack some sense into the blueshirts. Big payroll and past performances don't mean nothing when sports means WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR US LATELY
