I know he is old now but with proper makeup you won't be able to tell what age he is.

I agree, he would have made a good choice for the Joker in the original Batman film (I gotta say the Jack Nicholson did an amazing job) in 1989, but he wouldnt have been a good choice for the new Batman film (The Dark Knight). He is too old, and with the direction that the new series is taking he would have been a bad choice.
Interestingly enough, Tim Curry WAS an early choice (along with Willem Dafoe, David Bowie, John Lithgow, Ray Liotta, Robin Williams and James Woods) and considered the favorite for the role in the original film before Jack Nicholson came aboard. This was discussed on the bonus features of the Special Edition Batman Anthology DVD collection.

What a freakin' great idea! And you're talking to a 42 year old lifelong Curry fan who has loved him since Rocky Horror who has never thought of that. Good show! Keep thinking!

no longer extremely too many stunt doubles might want to be required. Now Obama because the Riddler might want to be ideal because he by no skill says something at the same time as he talks. it really is an exquisite idea because Obama will be searching for artwork after he suffers the biggest US Presidential election defeat in historic previous.

No way. His portrayal of villains is so broad. I agree it might of been passable in '89, but Chris Nolan has really raised the bar on the quality of these films.

Never thought of it but now that you suggest it I think he would be perfect. Remember him in "It"? No one else could have played that role as well as he did.

...I think that you are inclined toward that suggestion, based upon his performance as Pennywise the Clown, in the Stephen King mini-series, "It"; I personally think that it would be very exploitive and gimmicky, and in the end, his sadistic and evil-incarnate performance as Pennywise, really should stand singulary on it's own merit, and not be either topped, equalled nor degredated by a similarly sadistic and evil clown performance, like the Joker...
