Well the truth is black people age slower than white people. It has to do with our pigments, hence why getting some sun is good for you it helps you stay young. Make up has nothing to do with it, its just how where built. My friends black and looks older than me physically but his face makes him look 15, where both the same age. Its our genealogy. Being as im a guy I dont wear make up, however my sister does and began around 8 and she is 16 now, she looks like shes 13-14 but like I said it has nothing to do with make up, all though im sure it can have a long time effect on you. If you use it your whole life that is.

Hope this helped=)

I started wearing makeup at 15. Lipstick, eyeliner, and mascara. If I added eye powder and blush, girl I really thought I was doing it. Now at 42, all I wear is lip liner and lipstick. I never really wore a lot of makeup.

Makeup really does not have anything to do with it. Darker tones of skin have more melanin, which is a component of skin makeup. The melanin protects the skin and is more resistant to sun damage and other agents that cause aging. African Americans along with other darker tone people are just lucky I guess.

On the other hand, Caucasians and fairer tone people should use more protection and makeup to protect the skin from premature aging. Darker tones also benefit from protection from aging agents in the environment, but the fairer the person is the more protection is needed.

Then their are fair tone people that think they are helping their skin by tanning, either by the sun or by tanning beds. Tanning will darken the skin and give superficial look of health and youth; however this actually damages the skin even more. You will not find a lot of darker toned people getting a tan, theirs is just natural. However there are some that do get tans on purpose, exposing their skin to sun and tanning booths, they too are damaging their skin.

Why do you think black people don't start wearing makeup as early as white people, that's kind of a generalization don't you think? Your friend is just blessed with nice skin, it has nothing to do with her race or makeup, it's her genes. And isn't 10 a little young to start wearing makeup??
I started wearing makeup regularly at age 21 or so. The first time I put makeup on ever, 13 or 14.

I don't think it matters what color your skin is, it just depends on the type of skin you have, I started wearing make up when I was probably about 13, I have hardly ever had acne and I am 39 now and I think I still look pretty young, just my opinion though.

I started sneaking and wearing make-up at 13, my dad was a preacher, and very strict. He used to ask me why I had chicken poop on my eyes, and if someone smashed me in the mouth because of my lipstick. He reminded me of Bernie Mac.

Black people do have beautiful skin, and they look younger longer than we do. And their teeth always look whiter. I guess God knew they would go through some hard times, and he gave them little extra blessings. And great singing voices also.
