Same thing for if a gay man dates a male to female transsexual, is he still gay?
They would appear as opposite sex to society.
The reason I ask is because I've had lesbians ask me this before (I'm a transman) and they ask "what will that make me". I don't think it changes who they are. I think they're still lesbians.
What do you all think?

Oooh, this is a GREAT topic for discussion over martinis, my friend! I'm often involved in similar discussions, as I am married to a MTF and have identified as a lesbian in the past. The definitions DO get blurry, and you have to be ok with that. At a certain point, people will find an identity they are comfortable with, and no one has a right to 're-identify' them otherwise. One could simplify it by saying, if you are attracted to a transMAN, you could be seen as straight. You could let go of all the either/or labels and just say "I'm genderqueer" and move on, like I do. I love the feminine/female aspects of my husband as much as I love the male aspects (of which there are few). And when she fully transitions, we will be seen as a lesbian couple by society, but we will be legally married. Ain't that a KICK?? You have to feel right in your own skin, your own identity, and the people that get all bent out of shape are the ones who aren't sure, and require a tidy box with an engraved label. Fair enough, but lots of folks can't do that.

Lots of people have one-in-a-million exceptions to their normal dating rules. Someone who's generally a lesbian might fall for a transman, or even a cisgender man. I've known a few lesbians who've dated queer boys in the past. It doesn't change their inherent orientation, it's just a variation on the theme.
It could lead to a hell of a lot of social stress for some people, though. I've found that women who identify more strongly as "queer" as opposed to specifically "lesbian" often have an easier time dealing with it. If they're dating a trans or cisgender man, strangers could mis-identify them as straight. Or (especially among slightly older people) they could even get **** from within the community. It's less so now, but there used to be a *lot* of animosity between lesbians and trans people.

Surely if a Trans man is dressing and living as a man, then any relationships he has is defined like that of any other man. If you are far enough along your journey and are starting to grow a beard and have a male voice, then she would only see a man.
In general: If the Trans man in question has started on the testosterone then his clit may well have increased in size, just enough to allow penetration. This is not the case for all Trans men.
Any intimacy could be a combination of man with woman and/or woman with woman. However, once a Trans man has had a full phaloplasty, then he's unlikely to be able to behave in any way other than like any other man.
I do realise that between starting the journey of transitioning and reaching a final goal, there are lots of options for the Trans men. Not all have the phaloplasty as it can leave a large visible scar.
All the best with you change, however far along you are.

My answer would be, "Why the need to put a label at all if one person loves another nonrelated person?". What one wants to think of their relationship lies between the two of them and no one else; whatever works if you must put a label on it.
