That cholesterol deposit in your cornea is called Arcus Senilis which has no effect on your eyes or vision. A normal age related process. Everyone has cholesterol in the blood and over many years it starts to accumulate in cornea. Everyone will get this. If you look at everyone over 65, they will actually have a white band right around the cornea like a ring. The only issue is that 45 may be a bit early to start seeing it in your eyes. Which may indicate that your cholesterol levels may be more elevated than normal. However, some people will just deposit quicker than others even with normal cholesterol levels. So it is prudent to make sure the blood cholesterol is normal. Since elevated cholesterol does increase the risk of Heart Attack and Stroke. I hope that clears up things.

I would wait and see what the results say before you get too worried. Your doc will advise you on any necesssary diet changes, it may simply be a case of altering your diet slightly and keepingt monitored at the doctors. Not everyone with cholesterol problems has to go onto tablets, so try not to worry about it too much.
Healthy eating can reduce cholesterol. Your diet should be low in saturated fats in particular, and low in fat overall. Biscuits, cakes, pastries, red meat, hard cheese, butter and foods containing coconut or palm oil all tend to be high in saturated fats, so cut down on these.
Large amounts of cholesterol are found in a few foods, including eggs, offal such as liver and kidneys, and prawns. However, if you're already eating a balanced diet, you don't need to cut down on these foods unless your GP or dietitian have advised you to.
It's also important to eat plenty of fibre, especially soluble fibre, which is thought to lower cholesterol. It's found in fruits and vegetables, beans and oats.
By all means take a look at your diet, but dont suddenly try and cut everything out in a panic, wait and see what your doctor advises you to do.

Science tells us that our body makes most of the cholesterol over night. This can be reduced in the system by a glass of carrot juice in the morning before you start putting anything else in.
Cholesterol is not such a big problem in females, but keep an eye on the triglycerides, these are disapated by garlic and artichoke.
Many people develop fat spots, without having a cholesterol problem, it`s just part of their makeup.
So it`s not worth worrying about.

Just lay off fatty foods (red meats, butter, saturated margarines, alcoholic drinks, fried foods etc) and drink plenty of water and juice and white meat (not fried), fruit and veg. Oily fish is also excellent for keeping down cholesterol (herring, sardine, mackerel, that sort of fish).
