Sauna good for your bones, helps you relax

2007-10-15 11:50:22 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

I do both!
First I go to the Sauna stay in as long as I can, then come out, shower and go into the steam room, inhale deeply, then I start to perspire, come out have a shower and go to the sauna. I keep this up for about one hour. I have Arthritis and I do not perspire in the Sauna but in the Steam. However both I find excellent, especially in the Winter.

Depends on the effect you're looking for!

Steam opens the pores, a steamy moist heat.
Sauna gives a dry heat, good for the bones.

Either for me was good, as long as I got out about ever 10 to 15 min. and took a quick shower then got right back in. Do this for three or four times. Let yourself relax.
