No, normal force is the contact force that is perpendicular to the surface you are on. Only in the case of a completely flat surface is normal force equal to force due to gravity (also called weight).

The force due to gravity, or the 'g' value has 2 values ( the x- and the y components) when on an inclined surface. If on a plane surface (without an angle) the normal force = magnitude of force due to gravity. BUt when on an inclined surface, the normal force is equal to the y-component of the magnitude of the force due to gravitiy.
