before 9/11 even happened. How can the neocons say that their massive, illegal surveillance of domestic communication is "to protect America from the terrorists" when 9/11 didn't even happen yet? It's well documented that in the months leading up to 9/11, bush brushed off the issue of terrorism. He all but ignored the urgent warnings from foreign intelligence agencies of the impending attack. He never called even one high-level meeting on the subject of terrorism.

The Soviet KGB spied on its own citizens, not to protect the country from outside threats, but to protect the the corrupt ruling class from internal challenges that came from the country's own citizens. We all know about cheney's desire to maintain a "permanent republican majority." Did the neocons want to spy on patriotic Americans in order to protect their power base from the American people? Why else would they want to gain such an illicit advantage over the citizens of America?

Do you have proof that Bush and his adminsitration began his domestic spying program days after taking office? Please post them if you do. It would greatly help your argument.

Please name one american who bush has spied on?
The american democrat party rounded up japanese americans to place in concentration camps then murdered millions of civilians with air campaign in pacific and european theatres includin two atomic bombs.
The neo libs or better yet neo stalinists are not in the least offended by sandy berger stealing top secret documents from national archives. Not offended by clinton administration declaring war on branch davidians in waco, TX while letting al qaeda run wild. Not offended by hillary clinton having FBI investigate political rivals But cry and whine over wire tapping that they have no proof of. The only people being eavesdropped on are middle eastern peeps with terrorist ties.
I again ask---name one person you know who has been spied on.

I am so sick of this liberal nonsense about illegal wiretapping.

Project Echelon. But you'll ignore this and keep talking about the "Evil" Bush administration. And then you will blame him for the next terrorist attack. Take away wiretapping, so-called torture, etc. You lefties just don't get it.
