How much should i sell my computer for in US dollars?

specs: (its a custom computer)

Pentium4 - 3Ghz
1GB Ram
160GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB Video Memory

17" flat screen CRT Monitor
wireless Mouse, Keyboard
Logitech Speakers.
Microsoft Office XP Professional

(if there is any info i missed, plz tell me and ill post it)

Outdated components i would say $200 tops

Without a dual core CPU and an ancient Video card, and an old small CRT that you usually have to pay to throw away, you may have trouble getting over $100 but it varies by your location and the knowledge of the buyer. The Microsoft Office XP Professional if you have the install disks is the biggest selling point.


That PC would be fine for emailing by a grandmother but anyone that it looking for new PCs will see this is an oldie.

Mine is almost as bad, recycle it with Family and friends.

I think you should feel lucky if you get anything above US $250..
I think a brand new with such configuration should be available for like US$ 300 ..
Only think worth in this system is Office XP Professional. i think you should sell it seperately. for the rest of the system expect around $200 to $250

You can go for more, but i think you'll get 350 tops. Check ebay for similar specs and see what they sell for.

What kind of ram is it? DDR2 or what?
What kind of motherboard it haave? What kind of slots are on it?
how many watt PSU?
