a flute for some reason it seems cute

If you get dizzy and stuff when you play an instrument that involves blowing, then I'd stay away from them. The flute is a much lighter instrument and it uses much much less breath, but if all of your friends play the flute, then don't you want to be different? I play the violin ad the piano. Enough said. They are the two I'd suggest. Haha!! As for your age and height... 6th grade - that's like what I'd call year 7, in England. You're not that short, trust me! I'm going into year 10, or 9th grade, and I'm only 5'2''. The majority of my friends are about 5'7''. There is a girl in my form who is about 4'7''!! And my violin teacher is just a little shorter than me, but she is an AMAZING violinist! She has a 7/8th sized violin, although she could easily play a full size. She likes the smaller one. You could easily play a full sized one too. If you're the size of an average 10-year old or bigger, then you can use a full sized. The violin is a tiny instrument - you'll have no worries with size! I'll take the harp....I love the sound & there are So few harpists out there....No one ever thinks of harps, do they? Why not?!
