We watched a video in my honors history class and this question was at the end. I dont quite get what the question is asking.Can someone please explain?

I've never actually heard it called that before, but it makes sense. The phrase means that our Government couldn't stand without the Constitution. Basically, the answer is that the Constitution is the Blueprint for our Government.

Indispensible = something that is essential or required, and therefore cannot be dispensed with.

The Constitution sets limits on the government -- that's its primary function -- and by those limits, it ensures that the will of the people cannot be utterly suppressed.

You'll hear some people say the USA is not a democracy -- that is not correct. We are not a pure (polyarchal) democracy -- we are a democratic republic -- and the key element of that is that the final voting decision-making power is held by the people.

The Constitution insures that that power can never be taken away from the people -- even though we often surrender it voluntarily.
