ok I am just curious what do you see as romance? Mine is candle lit dinner with roses and nice bottle of wine... However some men tend to think that it is only a female thing to like that.

Better yet discribe what you would imagine as date of romance you will never forget. (do not be to graphic please).

to cliche. that is like the words symbol for i love you, such a such as the rose....anyways, i say romance is when the other person does something for you that they normally wouldnt do but they know you love it and do it as a gesture of love to you, now that is romantic.
OH YEAH, you cant ask for it they just have to do it that one time every once in a while.

The most romantic date I EVER went on was with my now-husband.

I had a daughter when I met him- a VERY YOUNG daughter- still in diapers. I was a new, first-time single mother who worried and fretted about EVERYTHING, including leaving her with a babysitter because I just knew any babysitter I left her with would be too stupid to take care of her. For this reason, I didn't date at all. I couldn't bare the thought of leaving her with someone.

He and I had met through my job and been flirting & he had asked me out a few times but I always came up with an excuse because I didn't want to hire a sitter. Then, one day, he comes up to me and tells me his daughter is in town for the weekend, would I like to take my daughter with him and his daughter for pizza? I was thrilled- it solved the babysitting problem.

We sat and ate pizza and talked for hours while the kids played with each other. No pressure at all. He didn't expect a kiss good night or any of that.

The most romantic dates, to me, are those where there is no expectation of more after the date- just a desire to be with each other.

I love to be at the ocean. I live on the West coast, in washington.. Being at the ocean in the Winter time, sitting on the private balcony, watching a storm while drinking hot cocoa. Getting cold, and then being able to warm up in front of the fire.. PURE ROMANCE>. nothing better!

Romance to me is the little and big things. Like we have always said "I love you" every day for the last 30 years. Even if we were fighting we said it to each other as we parted for the day or when we came home at night. It is him handling our 17 year old son who is in trouble with the law when I am in bed dealing with breast cancer and my first rounds of Chemo. He didn't even tell me about it until I was done with Chemo.... He says the most romantic thing I ever did was when the south part of our county was flooding one spring and he was trying to get home from work on the other side and he and his crew got stranded out there with no way to contact us. I called the home of the CEO who ran the mining conglomerate he worked for (he lived in Nevada, We are in Montana), got a hold of the man's wife (my philosophy is "behind every powerful man is a woman kicking his a$$" and asked for help to find the crew. A few hours later a company chopper was lifting them off the area they were stuck on. The chopper pilot asked for my hubby by name and told him "Man, you got one hell of a woman back home".

I don't like candle dinner. I like walks! In a new city, in a park, by a river or sea... with nothing bothering me and my darling. Just us in the whole universe.
He's constantly making me eat (even though I am lil bit overweight already!), so I hate when we have dinner together.

I am perfectly fine watching the football game with my husband. It seems like the less we try the more romantic it is.
