Hi,
Of course you aren't a bad person for asking crazy questions. You've just got a good sense of humour, something that is sadly lacking in some people. There are serious questions and there are fun questions and I like a balance of both. I suppose it's the case everywhere you go but there will always be someone who gets pedantic.
