Boy does our government ever need an overhaul.
We need a parlamentary form of government where we have multiple parties running and they get representation according to the number of votes they get. That way we get Dem, Repub, Libertarian, Green, and other parties so that all of us can be represented and not feel excluded to the process because of the corporate parties dominating. We also need to stop taxing corporations and business altogether. And, at the same time we need to stop letting corporations donate money to our candidates and government process. I also believe that lobbying should be outlawed. The way it is now, it is so corrupt with corporate lobbyists essentially paying off our government representatives to get their bills passed that are favorable to these corporations. There should be a total separation of Corporations and State. It's the only way to get our government back into the hands of the people and out of the hands of the corporate interests. The people should be setting the rules not the corporate interests in D.C.

Yes... here is an idea.
Why don't you start a grass roots movement ? Get involved.!
In a democratic government it is the people who should have a say as to what they want in the form of "their government."
The people in government work for the voters. They are our employee's if you will.
Most people think that the government is a separate inanity that controls their lives. That is where the confusion comes into play. If people start to realize that if they do not like what the government is doing...then vote them out of office and install people who do abide by the Constitution and really do believe in a government by the people and for the people.

Our form of government works, but it needs a complete overhaul. Revolution. Bring a vote for all 3 branches of government, vote them ALL out for no confidence and start over. Limit campaign finances to $50.00 per person, no more corporate sponsors and raising millions of dollars for campaigns. Start enforcing laws that are already on the books, including the gun laws and the immigration laws. Close the borders and ship everyone one out who is living on the dole illegally. Who will stand up? We might not win, but we have to stand up.

The US needs a viable third political party so the other two can't raise straw men every election. We're not likely to hear a debate over the national debt or military spending.
You know some "issue" will come up like burning the flag to distract from the important issues.

Sure, I have plenty of ideas but for them to work, people have to wake up and quit being so damned complacent.
Vote them all out of office and start over on the congressional level. On the Presidential level, don't allow a 2 family dynasty to continue running this country.
Enact term limits of six years. After six years of service, they're out!

Move to Russia where everything is just honky dory. No check that, how about Mexico, no maybe Iran---too dangerous, what about Africa? Egypt?
I know, VENEZUELA, everything is wonderful there.
All the companies are nationalized so you won't have to worry about any pesky rich people ruining your day, everything is free, there is no press to depress you with bad news, everyone has a job, the government supplied services are all first rate, the president tells you how great things are on television ALLL Friggin day, you get his birthday off, they have plenty of crude oil, they are friends with Ahmadinejad and he stops by from time to time so you won't have to worry about terror attacks......sounds like a winner to me.

Time to come to our senses.
Put me in power.
First thing I'd do is get rid of those pesky legislative and judicial branches.
They'd just get in the way.
So, write in "Some Dude" on your ballot next November.
