Drugs, porn, anti- America hating, and being a able bodied person who's dependent on welfare.
God Bless the liberals who don't do any of that. (And I mean it too!)

Depends on what you call success.
If you're talking about strictly accumulating wealth, then I guess it would involve a good paying job, working a LOT of overtime, making some wise (lucky) investments and saving more than you spend.
I'm not into money all that much, in spite of the fact that we're financially solvent.
No, success for us just means enjoying all that life has to offer in the broadest sense; family, friends, good cuisine, wilderness vacations, etc.
Oh, and I see the trolls have turned out nicely for this question. What a bunch of hateful, adolescent nonsense...

For this liberal it was hard work, creative thinking, a firm set of values and hitting the market at the right time made me far wealthier than I ever thought I'd be, but all that wouldn't mean anything without compassion which is what led to my first invention to help my invalid mother, who knew that caring about someone and making an effort to improve their condition would lead to a lifetime of wealth!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, liberalism is too broad to speak on behalf of it all. But for me the formula for success in life is to think critically, think rationally, stay well informed, and constantly learn things to update your understanding of the world.
