I think that it is human nature to be influanced by the people we care about and call friends while the actual life style may not be contagious spoken things behavior and attitudes are for some reason easily assimilated by close people. that is why in relationships we learn to know eachother so well
stupidity is contagious look how many stupid people there are and yes personal traits are adaptable!!! that is why there are groups and cliques....so to a small extent If I were friends with someone and they were often here I may well at least appear to be like them...see? I hope that is clear

I just about died laughing when I saw this question, and for several reason:
Number one is the question. You have absolutely GOT to be kidding me about it...you can't possibly be serious. It's not like the common cold, and if you hang around homosexuals a lot you won't suddenly "become" gay as well.
The second reason is the sheer number of people who answered this question.
Jeez...I think I'm, what, #74? Wow, I feel bad for you, you just got blasted by just about everybody on here. I'm not laughing for that reason, oh no, I think it's depressing. I'm laughing because people on here actually care that much to feel the need to answer this question. Had 73 people not answered before me, I would have felt no need or purpose to answer this question--but gosh, aren't there better questions out there we can answer? Sheesh, it's almost as bad as R&S--and I know how much LGBT HATES to be compared to THEM!

Don't be ridiculous. Of course it is! Just kidding. It's not. Some find that it's hereditary but, that is just how some believe. So, no, homosexuality is not contageous.

Homosexuality is as contagious as any other sexual bad habit.
There are two ways homosexuality is spread. One is by disinformation, especially the claim by persons viewed as authorities that homosexuality is predestined or genetically predetermined. Homosexuality is no more predestined than is bisexuality, cross-dressing, prostitution, voyeurism, exhibitionism, polygamy, sado-masochism, or any of the other ways the sexual drive is often misdirected. But telling some poor confused teen with homosexual attractions that he or she can't help it, that he or she can only "come out of the closet," is to undercut his or her defenses against this bad habit.
Contagion is even more difficult to resist with early homosexual experiences. When young teens are led into same-sex experiences leading to orgasm, they form a powerful connection between orgasm and a same-sex partner. Moreover, they experience a conflict between their beliefs and their behavior, and such conflicts are nearly always resolved by changing beliefs.

LOL this question made my day!! are you kidding?...is homosexuality contagious?...no way, you are born gay and that's that! If it were contagious -then, (i'm assuming) heterosexuality would be as well and you know what would happen then......the government would lock 10 gay ppl in a room with 100 st8 ppl till we were all eradicated,lol. Again that question made my day..this is actually the first question I have answered just started this today!!

No it is not technically contagious. However, it is possible for one to be influenced by homosexual behavior. That is taking the philosophy that homosexuality can be learned behavior as well as a genetic predisposition. (both Nature and Nurture)

not contagious, but it can be an influence that may cause a child to choose to be gay, and the child may forget making the choice and then think it was born gay. It could be done out of innocence as well.

It's actually sexually transmitted with a 100% transmit rate. As soon as you have sex with a girl, you're a lesbian... even if you use protection! It can also be transmitted just by sleeping in the same bed with them... so better be extra careful.
