i've been on the pill for about 8 months. this time, i got my period the week before i started taking my placebo pills. it's not as heavy as a normal period, but it's been going on for about 6 days now. does anyone know what this means? is there a chance i could be pregnant?

It's called breakthrough bleeding. just continue to take the pills on schedule and it should correct itself. if it doesn't, contact your doctor that prescribed them, let them know what's going on. =)

yes it is normal but it usually just means that the pill that your on isn't the right one for you. You need to go see your OBGYN to see if they can change your pill that way it would be a different dosage or brand.

There is ALWAYS a chance of pregnancy when you have sex as NOTHING but abstinence is 100% effective, even when taken correctly.
