What are the stereotypes of women. This can be anything, socially, relationships, sex-related, work related, etc. Just wondering what others think that are misconceptions put upon women, relative to cliches or portrayals from society.

Well you don't have to go through a list, just pick one among the many. I was broad, because I didn't want to narrow it down to just one category, but instead leaving the answer open to any category that one thinks of or chooses to use as an example.

I'm sick of guys who think that women don't like sex as much as they do or need to live life like a sappy romantic movie.
No offense, but that's a huge turn off for me when someone goes "Wow, I didn't know girls masturbate" or "Girls actually like giving blowjobs?" What the heck?
No offense to anyone, but some girls just use that "I'm not in the mood" or "I'm not ready" excuse because they're not sexually attracted to you, you don't turn them on, they don't want to do stuff with you in particular. Sorry. I've used that excuse on guys who asked me to do stuff and I didn't like them..I just told them "I'm a girl who wants to wait until I'm married to have sex" so their feelings wouldn't get hurt. I was lying about wanting to wait until I'm married, of course.

The most prominent stereotype is the way women are seen as housewives. They are looked upon as the people who should just clean the house and take care of the children. This stereotype has existed for hundreds of years. For example, when you were little didn't you always play "house"? Well, in this little "pretend" game, the daddy always comes home from work, while the mommy is cooking or cleaning. Then the daddy would sit down and the mommy would call the children and serve them dinner. The funny thing is that this "pretend" game is really a non-fiction dramatization of life. Also, the "republican motherhood" is a perfect example of this. Also, women are looked upon as the "weaker sex."

Here are some of my picks:
We are obsessed with our looks
We all want larger breasts
We like shopping
We like shoes and have hundreds of pairs of them
We sit around and watch soap operas and eat bon-bons
We only get angry because we are suffering from pre-menstrual syndrome
We like to talk about other people
We are not interested in sports and politics
We are clueless when it comes to anything mechanical
We constantly worry about breaking our fingernails
We think gaining weight literally means the end of the world
We feel jealous when other women are getting all the attention from men
If we are older, we are jealous of younger women
Also, when we are older, we're always mother hen types
These are just a few of the many stereotypes about women and the truth is that most of them don't apply to me.

that women would rather sit around and gossip with other women than to do something active or challenging like rock climb, play a sport, study a difficult subject, etc.
also, that women love shopping. I am a woman and I do NOT like shopping at all.

Your question is too broad. There are many stereotypes about women.
However, I hate stereotypes, because more often than not, I find the opposite to be true.

Women can't drive, can't read a map, can't do math, can't take a piss on the side of the road, can't win an argument without getting "emotional", can't take a break, can't stop being suspicious of boyfriend/husband, can't admit that size does matter, can't get ready in less time it takes for men to settle a divorce, and can't reason with other men.
But most importantly you can't live without them.

Sexually- That they're "not ready" when they're young and then when they're older they're "not in the mood". (Although this counts as a stereotype, in my experience and observation, it is 95% true).

Women dress and get made-up for other women, not for men. Strange.

that females are BETTER mothers than males are fathers.
many people of the mindset that being a good mother is INSTINCTUAL. obviously it is inaccurate because INSTINCT Would have kept susan smith from putting her young sons in her car & putting them in the river to DROWN.
