Before I went into acoma, Life After Death hit the streets and some album named Reasonable Doubt had just released. So how is hip hop now? Wats hot and wats not? How has it changed?

Hip-Hop has changed drasticly as you can probably tell. Alot of today's artists sample from people back around the time you went into the coma but it's not even close to the same music. Now a days it's all about making up dances and the south is where most of today's "hits" are coming from. It's all about the money now instead of the music in my opinion and i personaly think it's a shame at what the industry has turned into. I grew up listening to the now considerd "old" music and i still prefer it over the BS that's out there today. If you can't get into the music I'd reccomend looking at more underground artists instead of mainstream. It may not be the same as your used to but it has sort of the same mentality as back when hip-hop still was good.

If you wanna know some good artists hit me up and tell me what you like...I can almost gurantee I can find something you'll like.

purchase, purchase, purchase. factor a million) production hasn't ever been more suitable ideal. There are in basic terms about no unlistenable songs because even wack emcees have large backing beats. factor 2) Rhyming hasn't ever been more suitable experienced. With the organic progression of hip-hop, well-known one syllable rhyming is taken under consideration as primitive, multis are considered as mandatory, and many emcees pass above and previous and spit ridiculous, futuristic ****. except that isn't any longer futuristic, that is on the on the spot. i won't be able to confusing in this factor properly because i do not comprehend a thanks to assert what I mean. factor 3) there is more suitable type than ever. Any variety of rap you opt for, even if that is club rap, stoner rap, punchline rap etc. there is more suitable of all kinds than ever before, and various latest varieties which have by no skill been explored before. motives human beings imagine that isn't any more suitable ideal. a million) unfavorable media coverage. i will use an analogy. In activities all and multiple is conscious about Pacman Jones and Ron Artest unfavorable moves. although, what number of human beings study Dikembe Mutombo or Stephon Marbury's goodwill. Or Stephen Jackson speaking at Oakland faculties about violence. Everytime human beings listen about an excellent tale, they trust that is an remoted case. that is because the media spotlights the undesirable and conceals the strong. that is the same with rap. what number situations have you ever heard that "ninety 9% of rap is commercial bullshit?" heavily, imagine about what number high quality rap artists there are accessible, and then imagine about how unfaithful that truth is. 2) Laziness- Too many listeners settle for what they listen as hip-hop because they do no longer opt for to dig somewhat deeper and hear all that hip-hop has to provide. Or they'll pass truly deep, discover Talib Kweli and Immortal technique, imagine they have went so some distance as they could likely pass, and then in basic terms communicate about those emcees at the same time as railing on the mainstream. 3) previous college bias- a number of the listeners have a bias in route of the former college because they grew up with that and perceive it with the perfect years of their existence, or loved that the perfect hip-hop oftentimes floated as a lot because the mainstream back then as adversarial to sticking contained in the underground in recent times. so that they champion the former college and trash the recent college to make themselves sense prouder about their time and their song.

You'd be better off going back into a coma than knowing what so-called "hip-hop" is like these days.

You haven't missed a thing papi, not a thing. Reasonable Doubt was when rap was at its finest. It's gotten extremely commercial and watered down thanks to the greats not being around and everyone who is still here is too deep for mainstream society to feel. But I adore JayZ, Nas, Common, and newly for me, Talib Kweli....purely amazing.

dipset was popping, now the south is shining right now

and for underground, it will always be popping, because they're copying styles from the 90's like mobb deep and wu tang, etc.
