How can a billion people be wrong? Just because YOU don't know how to use them doesn't mean everyone else can't.

Well, I think they could make the same question..... "why do these westerners persevere with forks???" We have done things that way for centuries, and if someone came and tried to make us stop using forks and start using chopsticks nowadays, we would not be happy about the change.... same for them! They've been using those sticks for centuries, why would they want to change only because the rest of the crazy world doesn't use them??? Everyone does things the way they're used to, the way they were taught to.... it's hard to accept changes.
I can't use them either!!! Sometimes it's fun to try but it can get frustrating..... I'll stick with my fork hehehe.

actually, it was the chinese that invented the fork.
marco polo brought it from his visit to china along with the gunpowder and paper money.
the venetian princess used it for the first time in record.
the chinese dont use it because a fork costs too much and most poor people there cannot afford to buy a fork.
also chopsticks are much more versatile for usage.

Chopsticks are cheap for starters... duck outside and grab two sticks... BINGO.... chopsticks!
I can eat as efficiently with chopsticks as I can with a knife and fork... that is .. if the food is prepared appropriately for chopsticks. I would hate to try and eat a hamburger with chopsticks.. or a 400g rump steak.
It just takes practice to use chopsticks - and it helps to have the appropriate crockery ~ bowls are far easier to use with chopsticks than plates are.

In China in basic terms about all did in case you requested. i take advantage of chopsticks yet I discovered at the same time as i become youthful. I even took my personal when I went to China. The very last inn I stayed of their catered many times to chinese businessmen. The inn eating position crew tried to provide us forks for the first couple of days till they found out we were going to apply chopsticks besides.

Chinese use chopsticks on eating, and they are good at it, as the American ,and others who are using forks. Using fork in the garden is big different on eating, and I know that ,I think it is better for me to keep my mouth shut on commenting other cultures on how they use utensils on their dinner.

chopstick is more advanced than fork. It needs more skill and chopstick can pick up delicate foods that fork cannot pick. why do you think you still use fork???

They probably say the same thing about us..."How can they use forks?"...They were taught to use chopsticks, so it's naturally easier for them. =D
