I live in an apartment building and my neighbors across the hall are massive pot smokers. I normally would not have a problem with this except the smoke is constantly coming in through my doorway (the space under the dorr, etc.) I have complained to my landlord on several occasions and it has not stopped. I know the doorman has called up a few times, but that has not done anything. I don't understand why they can't open a window. I don't want to confront them directly due to fear of retribution, but I don't want my apartment to smell like a dormroom.

Do the right thing & CALL THE POLICE. Report it but don't give your name (you have the right to be anonymous to protect yourself from the neighbors). If they don't have Glaucoma & don't have a prescription from the doctor to prove they have to smoke weed because of a medical condition, then Smoking Pot is ILLEGAL. They will go straight to jail for that. I think you would live happily ever after when they are no longer your neighbors. They will get evicted for illegal drug use. It's the law.

You can buy a door sweep and install it on the bottom of your door to keep the smoke out. Just measure you door width and go to like ACE hardware and buy one. Easy to install with 5 screws. Good luck.

There are only a couple of states that mandate a no smoking law for apartment buildings. If your state is not one of 'em, the only thing you can do is move. Another thing you can do is write to your congress and try to get a state law passed for your state.

if you know for sure that it is pot call the cops every time you smell it, if its getting into your home you could suffer effects like even failing drug tests at work.
After the police come then call your landlord and make sure they get a print out of all police activity at their properties.

you can call the police. smoking pot is illeagle. so they wud be searched, and if they found any thing they wud take them to jail, maybe even prison. and if ur landlord knew this, he shud be fined, at least in my oppinion. because he is supposed to make your envirerment as comportable as possible. there y'are! ;P

call the authorities from a pay phone and withhold your name. Tell them you visited someone at the complex and smelled the pot.
