It isn't that 'anger is a good thing,' it is that 'anger is a response to some form perceived hurt,' an emotional pain, and is therefore a natural response to that pain.
From that point, it is the ways that the anger manifests itself that is called 'good' or 'bad.'
The ways of expressing the anger and dealing with a perceived hurt or threat ~ how we humans respond to this, can be either positive or negative. The Adult in us deals with this in a way that attempts to heal, the Child in us tends to deal with it with a destruction of what it sees as the enemy.

Yes. Anger is a person's response to a percieved violation against themselves. Anger notifies a person that their rights have been trampled on. Anger also helps a person stand up for themselves. Anger is never bad.
How we handle our anger is a different story. We can handle it in a productive way or in a counter-productive way.

Yes, but don't get anger mixed up with rage.
If something angers some one and they admit, that makes me angry, next is what am I going to do about it, Don't go into rage, do what one can to change the given sisuation, if it can't be changed deal with your anger and let it go. Good anger can be life changing to a pos. Bad anger is neg. and hurtful to all parties concerned.

I dont know if i could survive without anger. Every once in a while you just have to let everything out after that i feel better. Has long as its not directed at somebody who is an innocent bystander.

Yes it is as repressed anger leads to depression. It is what you do with that anger though which is the important question.

Feeling angry is HEALTHY.... its a valid feeling the same as any other feeling. Its only bad if its not expressed or dealt with. Anger should NOT lead to violence, if you take responsibility for how you feel and deal with it in an appropriate way.

Appropriate anger is good, but if you feel angry all the time, about everything, then you have a problem.

Sure, it helps clear the air, provided it's not physically abusive. Sometimes it helps clarify a situation and people become more honest regarding their feelings, rather than stifling them.

Anger could be useful if you can control it, like if your trying to lift something heavy and you get soooo angry that you feel impowered and you lift it. Besides that, I think angry only leads to rage, which leads to internal and external destruction and more stress than you need.
