I was offered the role and I'm wanting to know how many lines he has and stuff like that.

I've never seen the movie, but I figure the play probably has some important differences anyway.

My Macy is an important part of the story . He owns one of the largest department stores in NY. He sponsors the Thanksgiving Parade in the play. He owns the store when Santa visits with the children. He doesn't have too many lines. I would guess five at the most.

I doubt it is very big on my memory of the flic, but why be concerned? It is only a matter of whether you want to be a part of the production or not? Surely the size of the role does not matter. Remember Stanislavski said, "Do not love your self in the theatre, love the theatre in yourself>" which means the play is more important that your ego.

Minor. He has a few lines here and there, but he's not on the same level as Kris Kringle, the little girl, her mom, and her boyfriend. See the original movie with Natalie Wood and Maureen O'Hara
