If so, what do you think is really going on behind the scenes? Is the entertainment industry a way to distract the masses? Tell me your theories.

The Matrix is actually based on Hindu philosophy which says that God is the only truth and this world is an illusion. I do believe in this. But I have the feeling that's not the answer you're looking for, haha. =P

(This is same philosophy as Buddhism (there's an answer about that below).)

Let me know if you want more info.

Just what if there is much more truth to the Matrix then we know.
What if all we have been taught , all we believe, is no more than one of many forms of CONTROL.
To Control
Our Thoughts,
Our Belief's
Our entire way of life'
I personally think we are in some form of matrix.
Maybe not exactly like the movie's but maybe not so far off either.

There is something like "the matrix" but it is not done by computers. All matter is 99.99% empty and only 0.01% of matter actually exists and that is constantly popping in and out of existence. So reality is more thought. Beyond this reality is The Universal Mind, what people call god, if you want to know more then send me an e-mail. At a later time I can send you part of my philosophical essay that i plan to publish.

Everyone is asleep in this illusion we call life. Enlightenment is the awakening, realizing all of this around us is an illusion. Ref. The Buddha. So in essence yes there is a matrix and you're in it.

Yes, I do believe that the "matrix" exists. Frankly, I don't have a clue. I just pray and hope that whatever "part" that I'm in, will be safe for my family and me. I wish you well. Peace, Love and God Bless.
