I am so upset with myself. I just cooked a big pot of dry beans and let the water boil off and now the whole bottom of the Dutch Oven is covered with burnt beans and I can't get them off. The pan is a teflon pan, so I can't scrape it off. Any ideas on how to get the pan clean.?? Thank you.

Put 1/4 cup of the granules for the dishwasher in the pan with water heat to boiling, boil mixture for about 5 minutes, let it set for a while 1/2 hour scrub with nylon scrubber. Repeat if needed it will come off. Everyone who cooks ( if they have cooked for very long) has burned beans.

DO Not use oven cleaner it will remove the Teflon.

Get as much out as you can. Then add 4 tablespoons of Cream of Tartar (Available in the Spice/Baking isle of your local food market) Fill the remainder of the pot with boiling water and let it sit 2-4 hours. The Beans will then easily slide out....NEVER use Easy Off Oven Cleaner on a TEFLON Pan......That's just ludicrous.....

make a mixture of olive oil, garlic powder and red wine (has to be red not anything else because the ceniden in the red wine is what makes this work.) put enough in to cover the beans and let sit for 3-4 hours the beans should just lift right off.

Yes,don't worry, you'll get it clean. And Everyone does that. Just get some ," Easy-Off Oven Cleaner" In the blue can only, because it is fume free, and easy on your hands. Let it set after spraying. Then fill with very hot water and Dawn Dish Soap, and let it sit some more. After about one hour, it will just wipe out. Byee
