i would say both positive and negative, since anybody can post things on the internet it's possible that you get the most misleading information online. but on the brighter side, the internet is convenient for communication/sharing ideas.

I think it's at least as addictive as speaking, working, thinking, reading, playing, shopping, and pretty much everything else I do as a human being besides eating... at least in so far as I cannot conceive as how I could possibly live without it. So far, it's taken every facet of modern life, and it's made it more personal, more accessible, faster, and generally better. It didn't make shopping, it made shopping better. It didn't make talking, it made talking faster, cheaper, and better. It didn't invent public forums for the pursuit of knowledge and sophistry. It just made them better. At the same time, some argue that while it didn't create pornography, it made it better and more easily disseminated. While it did not create pedophilia, it is another potential ingress for child predators into our homes. The internet is overwhelmingly positive by definition. It makes everything better. It is humanity and by extension society which is flawed. It is these fundamental flaws which must e redressed, and I believe that as we possess the capacity to address these flaws, the internet enhances THAT capacity within us as well.

I would say both, but the great thing it does is allow people who are in secluded parts of the world and dont have access to any information, get access to the rest of the world.

It has both, and it depends on how that particular person uses it. It can be a learning tool, full of information,or a tool that relays feelings of hatefulness, that collects more hate as it rolls along.
