oh, this is funny! very funny! ok, i'm going to pick apart this article. don't mind me.

"In his thesis "Intimate Relationships with Artificial Partners", Mr Levy argued that psychologists have identified roughly a dozen basic reasons why people fall in love, and almost all of them could apply to human-robot relationships."

my two cents- so, would people want to a robot programmed to love them? frankly, i wouldn't because it's not REAL. yes, i would love to feel that kind of connection with someone. being single sucks. but, i don't want a fake relationship.

"If you ask me if every human will want to marry a robot, my answer is probably not. But will there be a subset of people? There are people ready right now to marry sex toys."

my two cents- yes, people use sex toys. but, it's merely to add to the whole experience. it's in a intimate setting involving two real people with real feelings. some women do use certain sex toys as a substitution for the real thing alone. but, that's not sex! it's called masturbation!

as for your question, would i have sex with a robot. oh, this makes me laugh. no, i wouldn't. it's not real. yes, masturbation isn't the real thing either. i'm well aware of this and i'm fine with it. but, technically it's not considered as sex.

As long as they are 'fully functional' like Commander Data in Star Trek, what the heck.

Sure, they are probably less chances of STD's with robots.
