I asked this question and didn't receive any responses so I'm trying again...

I am 26 weeks pregnant. When I had my last sonogram, the tech told me that my placenta was against my back. I also feel my baby kick me in my butt sometimes, it's weird. Could it be that I feel him back there because my placenta is back there? Has anyone else experienced this? Also, is there any complications that come from having it back there? Thanks.

I don't know if this will happen to you but with my first child, the placenta was against the back and I ended up getting back labor with the baby coming out face up.

Only problems that I know of off hand that involve the placenta's position is when it partially or completely covers the cervix.

Actually, what you have is normal. I have an anterior placenta (where the placenta attaches at the front) and that's not as common. Don't worry!
