Bush empowered the worst members of society to do his bidding. He set free the thugs, hooligans, and sociopaths -- the undesirables that society has long kept in check -- and he told them to attack all that was good and decent about America because it stood in the way of the power that the neocons sought.

He lifted the rock under which these people lived and told them, "You are not worms! You are not disgusting and worthless! Hear me now and rejoice! You are as the gods are! I hereby instruct you to watch Fox News! They will tell you what to do! They will tell you who to hate, who to attack! I hereby set you upon America! No longer will you be imprisoned by society! Go now and sack America!"

Although the neocon hyena mobs have largely been put down today, in the few short years that they were allowed to terrorize America, they did massive, massive damage to our nation.

Some still remain. Some are even here at this moment, roaming these boards, and replying to your posts. It's easy to identify them. Just look for the cons posting the most violent and vulgar messages.

'We have nothing to fear but fear itself.'Our economy is fine and employment is fine. The market is fine. The world is safe, for now and the sky is not falling. I see nothing wrong with these things. The only problem I see are coming from the extremist in the Middle East which will be with us and the world for a long time to come. Peace

Is there any leftist agenda that Bush did not further in his eight years in office?

The only thing the left should possibly take issue with the man is his steadfastness concerning the war against terror. Because everyone knows that a good lib hates America and loves her enemies. Everything else Bush has done to further the lib agenda no lib president could have done better.

Having said that, I think it will take less time to recover from the Bush years than it will for us to recover from the lies and fabrications of the left and the mainstream media that occurred during the Bush years.

Stop whining and get out and do something.
"Wah!!!! How long is it gonna take to recover? Wah!!!"
Actually get off your collective @sses and do something.
The guy will be out of office soon enough. So stop crying like a bunch of wussies.

BTW - Bush is NOT a conservative. I'm not sure what he is.
Also, Hillary Clinton is NOT the answer. Far, FAR from it.
Get out and vote for REAL change or simply settle for more of the same.

Let's see, 8 years of Hillary followed by 8 years by her VP. Obama....I would say at least 16 years.

It won't take them long to relapse into moral decay. We may have seen the last of the best presidents.

You may think your free from answering to a higher moral authority, but you will answer to God someday.

And when the terrorist are allowed to reign thanks to the democrats and liberals, you will finally see you had a president who tried to protect you.

No telling. I'm still in therapy -- trying to recover from Harding and the whole Teapot Dome thing.

what is there to recover from? Your rant there was a little long, and I kept imagining Democrats, their handouts, and support of Terrorism (so that they can help you once every major city is attacked of course) . . . . So, again, what is it that we need to recover from? Is it low unemployment rates, an amazing economy?!? a little lost here . . . sorry!
