You would have to be dumb at best not to suspect the timing of congresses condemnation of Turkey. What it has nothing to do with Iraq or the President.

Nancy is smart. She knows that if we lose support with Turkey. Bush will havee no choice, but to withdraw our troops from Iraq. She probably figures that since bringing many anti-war votes is not doing the trick, than to focus on something she know will get us out of Iraq.

Major supply lines go thru Turkey, keeping the troops fed and supplied.
If Turkey gets pissed off and shuts those supply lines,it's like cutting off funding.
Forcing a partial troop withdrawl the libs can brag about prior to elections.
Of course any resulting casualties won't be their fault.

Shes just making good on ONE of George W Bush's champaign promises

FLIP
when Bush was running for president in 2000, he wrote a letter to the Armenian National Committee affirming that the Armenians were “subjected to a genocidal campaign.” He promised that if “elected president,” he would make sure that the United States “properly recognizes” the tragedy. From his letter:

The twentieth century was marred by wars of unimaginable brutality, mass murder and genocide. History records that the Armenians were the first people of the last century to have endured these cruelties. The Armenians were subjected to a genocidal campaign that defies comprehension and commands all decent people to remember and acknowledge the facts and lessons of an awful crime in a century of bloody crimes against humanity. If elected President, I would ensure that our nation properly recognizes the tragic suffering of the Armenian people.

FLOP
I urge members to oppose the Armenian genocide resolution now being considered by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. We all deeply regret the tragic suffering of the Armenian people that began in 1915. This resolution is not the right response to these historic mass killings, and its passage would do great harm to our relations with a key ally in NATO and in the global war on terror.

There's only one difference you're forgetting between Turkey and Iran. Turkey actually committed a genocide. Iran never has, nor is the Iran Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.

Nope but for a month Madamn gets to continue hitting the TV airwaves etc. And work the moment to squeeze Bush into altering his concepts towards hers. She stated she prays Bush will vote my my way. Ha! She best go to Mecca, forget Syria and touch some Blarney stone with that logic. Meanwhile did you read today Turkey's asking the Parliament for permission to invade the Kurds. They really only want the extremists but collateral damage will destroy hundreds of innocents. Oh well. Thanks Nancy and you brilliant
Democrats. I am grateful I did not vote for them. I refuse to vote for any in Nov '08 either. Thanks.
