What I mean by that is, can you tell me the individual positions that exist within a lodge and their realistic and symbolic functions if any. I've read several books, but I haven't memorized it, or found about some of the people's lodge functions.

The positions are not part of ritual so aren't prohibit to speak about, you should have been able to find them on any website, I won't go into their symbolism as that is something that would only matter if you're in a lodge. The positions from top down are:
Worshipful Master
Senior Warden
Junior Warden
Senior Deacon
Junior Deacon
Senior Steward
Junior Steward
Tyler

The Treasure and Secretary are very important positions as are the Chaplin and Marshal.
