Yes and no...

When it comes to stupid storylines like Vince & his fake death or that custody battle with Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero & Rey's son I'd say yes...that's too far. But with some of them...creative isn't trying hard enough to come up with something entertaining.

I think maybe Vince's "death" in the wake of the Benoit tragedy & the Eddie Guerrero situation was probably going a bit too far.Sometimes art or sport blurs into real-life & vice-versa.Kayfabe can blend into reality so easily & fool a few folks.
Current angles are fine even the "illegit" child story which has Hornswoggle. That's a fun angle at Vince's expense perpetrated by soon-to-be-revealed HHH in order to keep the feud going.
It's entertainment - a sporting opera or drama. To keep the interest going & the ratings up you have to keep the storylines going. With TNA on the up-and-up that means the envelop has to be continually pushed.By & large WWE storylines are fine- sometimes funny but always entertaining. That's what it's about at the end of the day i guess.

Not exactly, there are probaly even less lines tha there was in attitude but the ones now arent too creqative, they dont show a reason why the two men are fighting besides an un aggrevated assualt making the heartless heels look a bit too fake (this is happening with orton where they are taking the intimidation out of his character a bit) I dont exactly like storylines cuz it IS wrestling, but i still need a logical explination why Finlay and Rey want to kill eachother (although they put on a hell of a match) now Rey vs. JBL would make since cuz we all know there was some :"hatred" years back which bringing back up would justify thier actions, so with guerrero and rey, we know of thier long rivalrly, you know? they just need some fresh writers to help the others ones out who have begun to run out of ideas

I think they have gone too far in the sense that there is too much story and not enough wrestling. I enjoy watching indy wrestling way more than I do the big time WWE crap. Somewhere along the line Vince forgot that we like wrestling and if we really wanted to watch soaps, we'd do just that. If I want to see someone's limo get blownup, I would watch The Sapranos. I don't care who his kid is. I want to see wrestling. I want to see two guys putting their bodies on the line and not some two minute train wreck.

You mean the company that has pulled off the following "storylines"

1) Mark Henry "impregnating" Mae Young, only to have her give birth to a hand.
2) The Undertaker occasionally "crucifying" people
3) Vinny Mac's "death"

Yes. Sometimes they go WAY to far. But they're trying I guess... Seems like they don't try much anymore... :(

In terms of taste, today's storylines are not even close to the crap that was featured in past years, especially during the Attitude Era. They've actually matured since the days of Mark Henry & Mae Young sex and Katie Vick storylines.

The only recent storyline that went too far, in my opinion, was Eddie-sploitation, where they continuously used his name in storylines after his death. That went way too far, but other than that, there have been far worse in years past.

Yes, especially WWE, the Vince faking his death thing went to far, and especially the fact that when Chris Benoit died he appeared on RAW and told the fans that him being killed was fake, and then WWE has the urge to say he faked his death to see if people missed him, that was going to far, especially in that time (after CB death)
