If these sex offenders are rapists or child molesters then they should be executed. All these people who talk about how they did their time just need to show me proof of a pedophile who has been successfully rehabilitated then I might change my tune. But I've never herd of one who was cured. So until that day comes I will just look at them as damaged goods and a danger to society. At least there is a small chance for muggers and drug dealers to be rehabilitated.

Just because someone is a "sex offender" does not necessarily mean they are a pedophile. Unless there is a law where you live prohibiting sex offenders living near schools, there probably is little you can do short of letting everyone in the community know about the offenders presence. Some offenders will move simply because they can't handle being "outed" and the public pressure/scrutiny it brings on them.

The vast majority of children are molested by someone that they know and trust. This is usually their parents, an uncle, a step parent, a baby sitter, and so forth.
It is very rare that you get the movie story of some child being abducted off the school house yard.
You ever wonder why drug dealers and even murderers aren't kept track of? You could kill a child, do your time, and then be Scot free.
In short these laws are feel good legislation that hasn't caused a single drop in children who are molested.

In their defense, the HAVE to live somewhere. I see your point but as a society grows, it leaves less and less space for sex offenders to call home. That means that they can't even live in some cities anywhere.
What can we do about it? We can let all the rapists and murderers out and put them in jail...or we can make it very clear through strong public policy and police action that ANY infraction won't be tolerated by anyone who's a registered sex offender.

Because the term "sex offender" refers to anyone convicted of any type of sexually related crime -- and that includes getting caught urinating in public, or streaking on campus as a college prank, or a married couple getting caught skinny dipping.
"Sex offender" is an incredibly broad category -- and child molester is only one of several dozen crimes that fall within the category -- and a very small percentage of the category.
So, given that the term is so broad as to be absolutely meaningless in the context of your question -- shouldn't you be more concerned about the violent muggers and murderers and drug dealers leaving near your kids -- as opposed to being worried about many people who have never even interacted with a child in any way?

Short of sending anyone convicted of a sexual offense to a desert island on completion of their sentence, there isn't much else states can do other than establish a specific distance from schools where they can live.

I always wonder why sexual offenders whom have served their time are still treated like a criminal afterwards. I would ask you what is the problem? Why do you just one to treat this one group this way?

Treat them as human beings as they have done their time in prison already.
What has changed in your life between today and yesterday except that today you are afraid of something that existed in your life yesterday, when everything was honky-dory?
Nothing really.
Just that your knowledge has changed, and they are stil the same. So who is it that is more dangerous today then yesterday, when it is you that wants to "do [something] about this"?
I suggest what you should "do" is mind your own business.
