Xenophobia, i think was an obvious catalyst for america's anti-muslim sentiments...Politics can't ever just be politics because, laws are made for a purpose...and it's the purpose that is more important than the law itself Because laws are supposed to surve mankind not the other way around...and what serves mankind is subject to the opinions of very opinionated legislatures. But it is not the legislature's fault...American's believe they practice seporation of C and S but this just isn't so if they elect candidates who implement their religous view in their platform. How canwe fight in the name of values that we don't even practice let-alone understand...You can't be an ignorant patriot, that's a sheep.

er... you started this one and it wasn't the fundamentalist Christians behind it it was big business. Iraq was by far the most secular state in the region and 'helped' America for years w. it's wars against Iran. The people advising Bush don't need to learn anything, they know exactly what they are doing and why, they want control of the Middle East before Russia becomes the world's next energy superpower and China the industrial. The question currently looks to be how badly they will fail.

faith. a minimum of, the bloodier ones. while one fights a non secular conflict, they think of that as quickly as they die, they are going to gain some larger non secular airplane via fact their deity reported that. they have not any reason to stay; they are in a position to die and be chuffed, or stay and be chuffed (as long via fact the different guy died). you will additionally do close to something and picture that that's good, via fact they're combating for their deity. Now, with a political conflict, one is making an attempt to outlive against their enemy. in the event that they die, then what they're combating for ought to die out, which might make their life and demise moot. no longer a good theory. A fighter for a political reason additionally realizes that the hundreds do no longer appreciate issues that are no longer palatable. So, they have an inclination to combat 'purifier.' If we take a prior political conflict and spot what might take place if faith have been utilized... chilly conflict. rather intense. If the two aspects theory that by utilising destroying the enemy that all of us may well be certain salvation, what's there to end them from pushing the button? Heck, the two aspects might have salvation from destroying one yet another. Win-Win. yet, via fact it became right into a political conflict, the two aspects wanted to outlive, via fact in the event that they did no longer, then who might shop on the politics they have been combating for? So, they tried to work out in the event that they could weaken their enemy adequate so as that they could get out on good. ultimately, one fell, however the different desperate that nuking them may well be undesirable interior the international's public view, and for this reason, did no longer kill them.

Politics and religion intertwine when religion gets involved in how govt decisions are made -- which is one thing in a country that has an explicit national religion, and yet another in a country that is supposedly neutral with regard to favoring any particular religion over any other.
Politics can exist on its own -- and in fact, frequently does -- and can result in war all by itself. Same with religion.
But because both are volatile and personal and subjective -- they get even more heated when combined.

You just cannot separate politics from religion in most countries. There are a few countries that do it, mostly the atheistic European countries that are soon to be conquered by Islam, because of low birth rates and unchecked immigration.

Everyone thinks that we should all just get politicians who have absolutely no religious leanings. But I've yet to hear of one single politician who doesnt claim one religion or another. And if they do go into office, those religious beliefs come out. If they don't, they're surely lying about being religious. I like a president, senator, governor, etc. to have a religious stance.

I presume you are scapegoating religion as the basis for the war in Iraq. I am not religious and I think it was the right decision.

The Bushmaster claimed to be given the green light by God and the religious crowed lapped it up really nicely.
As for Iraq and Iraqi's in regards to religion....
“Permission to fight is given to those on whom war is made, because they are oppressed. And surely Allah is able to assist them; those who are driven from their homes without a just cause except that they say, ‘Our Lord is Allah’.”
Surah Al-Hajj:39-40
“And fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you but be not aggressive. Surely, Allah loves not the aggressors.” Surah Al-Baqarah:190
The only proof text those who oppose Islam have, and I do mean the Christian Evangelists, is a passage of The Holy Qur'an taken completely out of context. It reads as follows;
“...slay the idolaters, wherever you find them...” Surah Al-Tauba:5
The above passage in question deals purely with the defensive battles Prophet Muhammad(saas) and his companions(ra) had to deal with in the face of the Quraysh tyranny. When read in its proper context, the message is clear and yet Christian Evangelists never cease to use this passage to spread the lie that Islam preaches violence and murder. What the Christian Evangelists fail to realize is that one can easily do to certain passages of the Bible as they do to The Holy Qur'an. I give you the following examples;

Hard to accuse them of fanaticism when we have a president who said God personally told him this war was a good idea.
