Today in biology class our teacher assigned us new seats away from our friends so that we wouldn't talk to them. When it came to my name I got put with the last person in the world I wanted to sit with whose name is Eric. We sat towards the front of the class. When he heard that we were together he let out a "NO!" as if he was totally disgusted. Of course I didn't want to sit with him either. When he sat down next to me he was kind of sitting away form the end of the table and as class came to an end slowly came cloiser to the center of it. In addition when we first sat down he said to one of his friends who sat infornt of us that he hates the front of the room and wants to go back to the back where he previously sat and that he was going to do badly in this class now. How do I make peace between us and make both of us more confortable with each other? What should I do?
P.S. He might just think I'm annoying because many times I ask alot of questions?

You know what? Screw him, he's acting rude and immature and if you need to ask questions go ahead and ask them. Do what you need to do in class and don't worry about making him feel more comfortable. If he does badly in class that is of his own doing. . . I'm sorry to sound harsh but I just feel so badly for you trying to deal with this idiot!

Sounds like classic guy pride. You best fix, just endure it for a little while, he'll warm up as he sees that no ones going to give him a hard time for it. I get the impression your one of the bookish types that horny little boys don't want nothing to do with because theres no way you'd lay them. So your forced to endure the pride bs until he can open his heart and see that your a decent enough person for him to accomplish his goal, getting out of that class with a passing grade. So just be the bigger person, ignore the ignorance, laff on the inside at his immaturitiy, and do what you can to allow you guys to get thru that class. Such is school.....
