It's not about peace or a prize. It's now a political mockery to try to prove libs are somehow helping out. I'm sure his SUV left quite a trail of smog on the way to the show..........

It's a joke. Seriously. It's a joke. He solicited the Nobel Committee which is a no-no, his movie has been proven to contain nine made-up falsehoods.
He cheapened the Nobel prize and they let him do it.

He deserves it for bringing so much attention to global warming and the emergency it is. He is hypocritical because he lives a very wasteful and extravagant life but such is the case nowadays. That's life in a free society. It's only free for those with oodles and oodles of money and that only have to think of themselves and what they want. They don't really care about anyone else. It's all ego gratification. But at least Gore is doing some good though I'm sure it's not altruistic.

i dont get it.
so he makes a movie and donates some of his money and time. people do that all the time, but dont get the publicity al gore gets just cuz he ran for pres and lost.

What do you mean? By calling public attention to the issue of global warming so nations can address it now, he may be the single person most responsible for preventing countless deaths due to future wars over potable water and arable land.
